To commemorate the tenth anniversary of 9/11, I’ve uploaded some photos I had taken of the twin towers, in the '80s and early '90s. They are all from 35mm slides.

Thank you for posting the photos. I work near the site. Sometimes, even there you can forget how much more incredibly tall they were than any other building in lower Manhattan.
The WTC and I are almost the same age. My parents always said they were architectural monstrosities, but I found them to be quite beautiful (although I do agree the buildings and plaza were not “on the human scale,” I liked that). Sometimes I can stand with my back to St. Paul’s churchyard and still see it exactly how it looked.
Very beautiful. The one of the sunset is just spectacular.
