I’m just watching the thing on the History Channel on the War of 1812. And They’re talking about James and Dolly Madison. And how Dolly was the quintessential bon vivant and hostess whereas, had they coined the term “nerd” in the 1800’s James’ was the picture they would have put next to it in the dictionary. And yet by all accounts they worked very well and brought out the best in each other.
So I was thinking…what are some other unlikely but weirdly sucessful couples? Or just other interesting mismatches?
(And I’m not asking this because I’m a flakey slacker artist in love with an anal retentive obsessive compulsive corporate accountant. That is entierly coinsidental
