Well technically the headline should be “World’s Former Oldest Panda Dead at 34”.
Last weekend, we watched a good Japanese documentary on pandas. I’ve seen it translated as both Panda Days and Panda Diary. It’s from 2008, but I don’t think it’s been shown in the US. Not sure. Panda twins are transported from the Japanese zoo where they were born to the big breeding center in China. The description in the link sounds a little cheesy, but it’s actually quite good. I’d rate it up there with March of the Penguins as far as cuteness goes. If you’ve ever wanted to see a basket of panda cubs – or pandas mating (that female was a sultry lass) – this is your chance.
