Someone had to say it. I’m glad I’m not the only person thinking this whole thread has a distinctly odd smell to it.

No it wasn’t. The only fast way to remedy the situation was to call the cops, which you did eventually. The fake email was entirely unnecessary, from what I can tell.
It seems the only reason to contact her was to get her information and put her picture up in this thread. That’s just bizarre on so many levels.
