Does Santa Claus and the Ice Cream Bunny count as a bad movie? If so, that’s the worst one ever. It’s a Wonderful Life is in the top 5 worst movies. But I’m afraid the OP is very much mistaken, as Scrooged is a modern classic.

Christmas with the Kranks was not just the worst Christmas movie ever, but is one of the ten worst movies I’ve ever seen.
Aside from being a bad movie generally, the message was… well, it was fucking insane, from what I could tell.
The 2006 version of Black Christmas appears to have the lowest tomatometer score of any movie with the word Christmas in it, fwiw.
Are you sure you don’t mean the Marlo Thomas version of It’s A Wonderful Life, with Orson Welles as Mr. Potter & Cloris Leachman as Clarice the Angel? Title- It Happened One Christmas.

I have two equally bad made-for-TV Biblical Christmas movies- the late 70’s-early 80’s Mary and Joseph and the more recent Mary Mother of Jesus (with Anakin’s Mom as Mary & Christian Bale as JC).

I think you mean Santa Claus: The Movie, which is what it was called in my corner of the world, rather than Tim Allen’s The Santa Clause. At the time I liked the Dudley Moore film, but I watched it again more recently and I agree, it’s lavish but rather disappointingly dull.

I haven’t seen it but on Conan last year he made “Kathie Lee’s Rock n’ Tots Cafe: A Christmas ‘Giff’” look insanely bad.
