Holidays are all but meaningless to me anyway. I get why they’re important to people, and I won’t rain on anyone else’s parade, but other than Halloween, every holiday in the poll I could take or leave.
And Halloween wouldn’t stop me from attending a wedding. The alternative would be sitting at home watching TV, handing out the odd piece of candy to neighborhood kids. No big loss.

My parents were married on a Labor Day. I didn’t get to attend, though, as I didn’t exist yet.
I actually prefer the timing so that there is vacation time from work built in. The one caveat is that you’d have to be including my child in the invite. There’s no way I’m getting a babysitter on Christmas etc.
I’m not the kind of person who likes to attend weddings. I went to some when I was younger. They were okay. But the only wedding I ever REALLY liked was my own. Since then I haven’t been to any. My wife will go to some, on occasion (and, in general, it seems to me that women like going to weddings - at least weddings that aren’t theirs - more than men do), but I don’t bother. So, no.
