There are several practical, legal, and philosophical problems with your plan.
[ul]
[li]You would have to ask people if they are gay or not, and then somehow restrict them from going somewhere[/li][li]State laws may prevent any of this questioning[/li][li]Many folks will answer wrongly for any number of reasons[/li][li]Logically if a gay man doesn’t want to change with other gay men who might be interested in then you have to send him over to the women’s locker room[/li][li]Requiring seperate but equal facilities has a long, poor history in this country[/li][li]You’re adding increased cost, management hassles, legal issues, and annoyance to every business that has a bathroom[/li][li]Appeasing bigotry is never a good approach[/li][li]Where do you put bisexual men and women[/li][li]It’s a giant step backwards for everyone involved, and societal trends are moving in the opposite direction[/li][/ul]
Even that won’t work if the goal is to prevent anyone from sharing a locker room with someone who might find them sexually attractive, as straight or bisexual women might consider the gay man a total hottie. One gay man and one lesbian could “safely” share a locker room without the “danger” of either being attracted to the other, but the addition of a third person (regardless of sex or sexual orientation) means someone in the locker room might conceivably be attracted to someone else.
The only way to be certain that no one must suffer the grave indignity of possibly being considered attractive is to provide private stalls for everyone.
There’s an alternate simple solution, just install a dozen or so private shower stalls for those who are not comfortable showering with other people. And not just gays, showering with other people in general.
The funny thing aboot all this is I get the feeling from reactions in this thread that some gays (and ultra liberals) would still be offended with this, and demand I shower naked with them.
This retarded gay movement is getting to the point where if you dont have some gay guy humping your leg 24/7 you’re a homophobe.
Hey, maybe I’m just into girls. Ever thought of that?! Or is that bigoted too
Youre misreading if you interpret the pushback as a demand that you shower naked with us. I’m not hearing anyone express such a desire. Personally, I’d rather shower with the entire gay pride parade than with you.
We have a locker room in my complex at work. I don’t know the sexual orientation of everyone in the locker room, and I would rather *not *know, to be honest. Because if I knew I was sitting naked next to a gay male, it would definitely make me feel uncomfortable.
But you know teh gays have no sexual self-control, so if you gave them any sort of privacy (like a separate shower stall) they would be all over each other faster than frat boys on a drunken housekeeper.
I actually shared a cabin at Boy Scout summer camp with a gay guy. He saw me naked many times. He’s a good friend, and I know I’m not his type, so no worries.
The problem I have (and some of my teammates also have) is that with this gay movement, they’re all starting to come out of the closet. It wont be long before every gay pro athlete comes out, and then what are we gonna do??! Shower with these guys??! I dont think so!!
I really dont care if people are gay, I’d rather not know.
Its none of my business anyways what people do in privacy of their own home, and what gender they sleep with.
I really dont wanna know how many times people masturbate at home either. Like I said, its none of my business
