Would you be uncomfortable sharing meat space with troglodyte homophobes?

Your attempt at humour is unsurprisingly lame.

Dude’s so deep in the closet that it’s too dark for the grues.

Huh. That link should have gone directly to 3 minutes, 21 seconds into the video. Not sure why that isn’t working.

It worked when I clicked it. Took me right to 3:21.

Mine started at the beginning of the video.

Interesting. When I click on the link from my desktop PC, it goes to the correct time stamp. If I select it on my iPad, it goes to the beginning of the video.

Nice how y’all have let Esco switch the argument from whether he’s a homophobic asshole to “Hey, other people are assholes too!”.

Just like in the original thread, he has switched his demands from segregated locker rooms to “I won’t play ball for any team that doesn’t have private shower stalls”.

And I think that was the original issue all along. I’ll bet it was triggered by that pro athlete coming out a couple of weeks ago. I think what Esco wants is for all team athletes to stay in the closet and shut up about how they are gay, so that he won’t have to worry about sharing a locker room with them.

Or maybe he just thinks that gays should stay out of team sports altogether.

Hey, Esco, I got another clue for you - don’t enlist in the armed forces. You wouldn’t like it there.
Roddy

Monty Python’s drill team is how I always think of the military.

I just think it’s funny that he assumes pro sports won’t manage to get along without homophobes in the locker rooms. Uh, dude? There are WAY more people that want to play pro sports than there are spots to fill. If you throw a fit about the showers, they’ll just drop you off the team and get a new player, unless you’re the absolute best player in the sport. And he isn’t, or he wouldn’t be posting here, he’d be off spending his millions. Not to mention the fact that, as I said in the first reply of his dumbass thread, he’s already showered with gay people. It’s such an incredibly stupid thing to get worked up over.

I bet Esco has spent more time thinking about showering with gay dudes than most gay people do. Just come out of the closet already, sheesh.

That’s actually almost exactly what he said in the other thread:

I’m not sure why he thinks he’d be showering with a professional athletic team, though. Maybe it’s just something he likes to fantasize about.

Funny thing for a straight guy to fantasize about, don’t you think?

Of course he’s a self hating gay. No straight guy would spend this much time thinking about showering with other men.

Not if the team of wet, naked men in peak physical condition is entirely straight. That’s what he’s concerned about! If professional athletes can be gay then suddenly this totally nonsexual daydream of his might start to seem just a tad homoerotic.

He’s so deep in the closet he keeps getting stalagmites wedged up his butt - purely by accident though I’m sure.

I assume you’re talking about this: http://oi41.tinypic.com/2l8jgcy.jpg

He has every right to express his religious views (even if I personally dont agree with him).
He’s standing on a public sidewalk, not private property.

And before you counter with “a pride parade is the wrong place for that, and insulting to gays”, nowhere in the freedom of speech charter does it say you can’t exercise your freedom of speech at a gay pride parade.

Try again Miller

So you didn’t consider that to be an insult?

Of course you have the right to insult others. That does not make it right or good. And the right to “free speech” does not grant immunity from repercussions if the speaker is being deliberately insulting.

Nope. I’m good with troglodyte homophobes. I’m also good with troglodyte homophiles. I know it’s an old fashioned and throughly unfashionable opinion but I don’t generally judge people on either their political or sexual views.

Yes, he has every right to express those views. He absolutely should not be prevented for airing his odious and idiotic ideas. He should, in a word, be tolerated. Calling him a homophobic asshole is not being intolerant. The people marching in the parade were not being hypocrites by responding to an insult with more insults.

Now, if your problem is with the police telling him to move along, first note that the police != the gay community. In addition, I pretty strongly suspect that the reason they showed up in the first place is that the Christian group hadn’t gotten a permit for their counter-demonstration. I’m not personally familiar with the intricacies of Canadian civil codes, so maybe their actions were, indeed, out of line, but even if they were in the wrong, the actions of the police department do not reflect on the legitimacy of the gay rights movement one way or the other.

If that video was meant to represent intolerance any hypocrisy among gays or the left in general, you have, in what I suspect is a continuing motif in your life to this point, failed yet again.

Not to me, but apparently to you it is.

But so what if you’re offended, freedom of speech does not come with a cavaet that says freedom to express your opinion, just dont offend anyone

Good, I’m glad you agree. Throwing drinks at the guy or screaming in his face is not being tolerant.

And tolerance btw is the very thing Left-wingers preach, yet rarely practice themselves.

Another shining example, only this time they managed to outdo the Toronto incident and raised it to violence: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WSmCDtAFrCE

Hypocrisy at its finest
