Would you talk about your shoe size?

[QUOTE=InvisibleWombat]
That’s odd. Hat sizes seem pretty consistent for me. I wear a size 8. Every now and then I find a 7-7/8 that fits. “One size fits all” doesn’t. Ever. I have encountered one (count 'em, one) adjustable baseball cap that adjusted large enough to fit me comfortably and not fall off.

As for the feet, I’ll stick with my original thought. You can tell my feet are big just by looking at them. Knowing they’re size 12DD (or 12E, or 13C, depending on the manufacturer) doesn’t suddenly make them bigger. What’s the problem with discussing some artificial number?

Are you me???

Mods, I’m coming forward to confess that, apparently, InvisibleWombat is my sock puppet. Had to check, as she joined a month after me (otherwise I’d be her sock puppet, and with feet this big socks are no joking matter). You and I have about the same hat size, and “one size fits many” hats are a bad joke. I wear earmuffs in the winter because nothing else fits this beachball my ears are attached to. Summer… well, I spent 50 dollars on a Tilley hat because nothing else fit :mad:

You’re friends with Al Bundy? :wink:

Interestingly enough, Al isn’t the only person who’s worked in a shoe store. :smiley: Actually the conversation was with a girl I went to school with who was the queen of the anti-consumer rant (she worked at Sterling). She totally could have been channelling Al when she was bitching about work. Well, except that she didn’t sit around with her hand down the front of her pants.

WHAAA?? ::Jon Stewart rubbing his eyes

I’m comfortable talking about my shoe size. I’m a 9! And I have a giant pumpkin head too – when I graduated high school, I had to have the biggest cap in the class. As a 5’-5" woman, that’s a big noggin.

It’s “he,” actually.
