Suppose they were able to make inexpensive vat-grown human meat, with guaranteed zero ethical or health concerns about eating it. Would you try it? Or maybe even eat it on a regular basis?
My vote is “I’ll try to try it, but make no promises”.

Nope. Not a chance.
Nope. I hate people.
Now I’m wondering who here would try ethical vat-grown human organ meats, if those were within their culinary palette already, with animal products. Human Haggis, maybe?
I seriously doubt that human (even ethically-vat-grown) would taste good enough to be more than a very niche product, and I don’t care that much.
I’d rather eat vat-grown human than factory-grown insect protein, but I have a strong feeling the latter is much more likely to happen, and at least the bugs will be flavored and molded into something unrecognizable anyway. (Instead of Boca Burgers (vegetarian) we’ll have them “Made with Meal(worms)”
What if I find it delicious and then the vat-meat company goes out of business? See, then we have problems…
Best if I just never know.
I don’t think I’d ever try any vat-grown meat because it just sounds disgusting.
Fuck that shit.
No way, I’m too picky and unadventurous about my food. I haven’t even tried things like venison or duck.
IMHO - If it’s vat grown, it ain’t human - even if the “starter” cells came from a human.
I’m on the opposite end of the spectrum. I’d try it just to say I had.
I read somewhere that humans taste horrible.
Stick to priest.
No. My copy of Joy of Cooking has no recipes.
Plus, ewwwww.
I’d try regular human meat if the person died naturally. I see nothing ethically wrong with eating a non-murdered human.
I haven’t tried it, and I can’t say I’d like it, but I wouldn’t dismiss the possibility.
If Edgar Rice Burroughs has taught us anything, it’s that people shouldn’t be grown in vats.
I wouldn’t even eat vat-grown *animal *meat.
Would vat-grown human flesh qualify as vegan?
I’d wait for Vat-3. Less singing & shorter lines…
=d&r=
Yup.
ladyfingers they taste just like ladyfingers
