Would you want to eat dinner suspended 50m in the air?

My only question is what if you have to pee?

Not for someone afraid of heights!

HELL, NO!!!
Whimper

I wonder if birds are a problem.

I’ll never forget poor Ferguson. He leaned over to get his napkin and fell out of his chair. Pity, that.

Yeah, those people all look incredibly relaxed.

The picture at the top shows all the diners are chefs. I’m assuming that because of the hats.

The people HAVE to be strapped in. Wouldn’t the food get cold faster, that high up? And what happens if someone starts to choke? I guess they drop the table as safely as possible to the ground.

If you spit out an olive pit, could it kill someone on the ground upon impact? Reminds me of the old penny-off-the-skyscraper question…

Crap, I dropped my fork.

The videos show them serving champagne. Lots and lots of champagne.

FOOD FIGHT!!!

I can’t imagine the person who thought that this was a good idea. Even if you assume it’s safe (and it’s a frame suspended on a crane which is fine for an occupational hazard but I wouldn’t trust it for dining) we’ve only scratched the surface of the problems and risks of using it. What happens on windy days, for example.

I’m up here, waiting. Come get some!

What do the Euros translate to dollars? I’m assuming a lot of the cost must go to insurance.

Hell, yeah, I would.

Definitely. The website mentions 4 point seat belts in the technical specs section.

You’re only about 150 ft up in the air. There isn’t too big a temperature drop going to that altitude and I don’t think that the wind speeds pick up much over that distance either.

Probably the same thing that happens on the out door patios. They don’t operate under poor weather conditions.

Yep! A windy day in San Francisco just off the ocean when the fog starts coming in. To chase the seagulls away. (I didn’t order white sauce!)
Still, under the right conditions I’d like to try it.

I don’t think they’d run in a gale but it wouldn’t take much of a breeze coming up during the dinner to set the thing swaying.

Absolutely. Looks like fun to me.

Dear goddess no. I would be too terrified to eat a thing.
