WoW Gamers: What is your main?

I was a night elf Restoration druid for many years, but the past 6 months I have been on a Horde guild on Mal’Ganis as a tauren druid. Actually, to be more clear, for around 4 of those months, my “main” was a troll Discipline priest. Then, our only Restoration druid quit, and I was able to take his spot on my druid. But, we have had the most ridiculous time finding a competent priest to take my spot, so I have been splitting time on progression. I did 4/7 Heroic Firelands on my druid, but yesterday I played my priest (as Holy) in order to kill Majordomo Staghelm (which was an absolute joke of a fight - 9 pulls for a kill) and will play her as Discipline for Baleroc. I think I will be back on my druid for Ragnaros, but I’m not sure at this point.

Alliance, Human Holy Priest. First toon I rolled, even having never played an MMO before, I knew I wanted to heal and I’ve been Holy through every bit of raid content. I’ve played around with Shadow since and just find DPS to too repetitive to be interesting. I used to have a Discipline off-spec through most of Wrath, but by the end of it the whole PWS spam thing was so out of hand I’m eternally soured on the spec. Hell, I’m one of those rarities who has a PVP Holy spec instead of playing that and it actually works out quite well in RBGs… not so much in arena.

Little gnomey mage. Originally made right before BC came out when I found there would be FLIGHT and HELICOPTERS! I needed a helicopter, very badly. So, gnome it was! And I’ve always liked the mage class in MMO’s.

Not sure what you are trying to do with this poll for Quasi, but this site has a census broken down by race, class, and faction.

Used to be frost so yeah; you’re right.

See? I don’t play anywhere near as much as I used to.

The first toon I leveled to 80 is the one I still consider my “main,” a Forsaken priest. He used to be a healer but now I mostly use him for PvP, as dps. He’s 85 and the one I’m doing all the Hyjal dailies with right now.

My first toon to 85 was my Belf Pally, who is now my main healer. He’s the one I use for running heroics and/ or raiding and has the best PvE gear.

I have a third 85, a Goblin resto shammy. I haven’t played him much in the last month or two but he’s right at level for basic heroics now.

My first “main” was a Resto Druid, however, currently, he’s on the back burner (I only keep him reasonably geared for if/when we start raiding since Druids tend to be very good raid heals) for my Resto Shaman who I love to play with a passion.

I love my enh shaman. I tried the other two builds, and they just didn’t flow for me.

I haven’t played in awhile now, but at one time, I had 3 toons that I leveled together. A DPS rogue, a holy priest, and a prot warrior. I got them all to level 60 within a week of each other (this was back during Vanilla) and I considered ALL of them my mains.

Raiding though, the priest got more and better invitations, and eventually that toon wound up having better gear than the other two (which of course begat more and better raid invitations) and after awhile I didn’t play the other toons much if ever.

I’ve only got one 85, and that’s my human warlock. However, I have an 84 human priest that’s damn close to being my main.

Thanks, Oak. This is exactly what I wanted to do.

Arms warrior. I chose a warrior because I wanted to play a pure hand-to-hand class, no magic casting. I think magic is dumb. It’s roleplaying! So anyway, that left warriors and rogues, and I was told that rogues are hard to level.

I chose arms over prot because I am an incompetent tank, and I chose it over fury because arms talents are more interesting.

So yeah, I chose the class for roleplaying reasons, and I chose talents based on what looks “neat.” And I wonder why I am so bad in PVP.

Yeticalayla - Horde Belf Pally.

Alliance/Mage and Horde/Druid are tied for most popular faction/class combo. Didn’t expect that.

Neither did I, Oak. I thought maybe the warrior section might have a few more players, but I guess y’all are so far advanced, you don’t need strong and dumb anymore, right?

Man, the bar colors of this poll don’t match the classes at all.

I don’t think it’s that so much as Warriors are a pure melee class, and a lot of people seem to like to have some spell casting ability. I’ve got a warrior on horde side…but he’s been abandoned for years now, and never made it out of the teen levels. Might have to try him again sometime…

I can’t desert Wolkie, although I have at least 8 other alts. He has sentimental value, and I think everyone here knows why, so he and I will continue riding through Azeroth using muscle and very little brain!

Thanks

That’s the beauty part of games like WoW. As long as you’re having fun and not griefing anyone, you’re doing it right.

Sorry. Frost
