I’ve read some different threads about WoW on here lately, and it’s got me curious. Do dopers normally play more Horde or Alliance characters? What realms do you guys play on? Are there any guilds I could join?
I’ll probably have more questions as the thread wears on, but, yeah, I’m just really curious about the Doper presence on WoW.
Cenarian Circle, Horde, 59 Tauren Druid.
I have a 58 Gnome, but I don’t like playing Alliance very much.
My guild is Darkside, formerly Dark Assembly. I like most of my fellow guild members, they’re trying really hard to be able to fill big raids by themselves.
Horde. I have some alliance alts in a guild. My main horde characters are on Muradin but it’s been dead since the move. So now I play my alliance characters in a coworkers guild.
I can’t boast any 60’s, but I have a 27 human warrior on Tichondrius and a 26 Orc Hunter on Bloodscalp. Bloodscalp seems to be the preferred server here at my school for some reason. All I know is I made my Orc to mock the editor-in-chief of the newspaper I write for. . .he found it less amusing than the rest of the staff.
I also have about 20 other toons on various other servers, but they are mostly just to keep in touch with RL friends. None of them is higher than level 12.
I far and away enjoy the Horde more than the Alliance (altho Barrens’ chat is still teh suck).
All of my characters are on Thunderhorn. I rarely play my Druid lately. I’ve been leveling alts, and don’t plan on renewing when my account expires. The alts are fun though.
I mostly just play with my husband, and with a friend who I’ve gone through a number of MMORPGs with (EQ, DAoC, AC2, CoH, CoV). I’ve only been playing for about a month and a half.
Hm Atlatl and Yerpestis sound familiar, I think I have seen you in passing
Thunderhorn:
Sonnenschein, 42 human warlock
Sonnenchen - trade mule
Elune:
I have one of each alliance character class, and a cow shammy - but I almost never am on elune. I dont think I have logged onto elune in 4 months
Cenarius: all horde
Sonennschein 60 undead lock
and 14 more bnot counting trademules. Just drop me a mail note=)
I’d have more, but you’re only allowed ten toons a server ^^’
Although I consider Ashirlendy my main, I’ve had little reason to play her lately, and have been spending most of my time on Mhunne. The Alliance side of my guild is very small, and having a hard time progressing (The Horde side, by contrast, is running MC and has to turn even former guildies away because we have too many people). Although if you’re looking to reroll, the Alliance side is recruiting levels 30 and up (We need druids and, oddly enough, rogues)
Our guild is Eye of Wotan, if anyone cares to say hello. We’ve got at least one 12 year old (and his typing shows it… holy crap), but everyone is nice and welcoming.
Ardred has a 60 Druid, Warrior and Priest as well as a 50-ish (he was 50 when I went to bed last night) Rogue all on Doomhammer. He’s also got a few 40s on other servers, at least one Paladin (Dwarf, I think) and a Night Elf something or other.
Mr. Armadillo and I have level 60 alliance toons in a thriving guild on Azgalor. We run MC and Onyxia regularly, and are making (some) progress in BWL. It’s a really, really fun guild. There’s been some inter-guild drama lately but otherwise I’m having a great time playing. I’m Nivea (gnome 'lock engineer) and he’s Qualthas (NE priest alchemist). I have an alt or two (Haje, Morelia, Viridis) on a couple different servers, but none I play seriously. We are recruiting and love to help folks level and succeed. If you’re interested, send me or Qualthas a /w in game and we will hook you up. Although we have a few hardcore raiders, and we do well in endgame instances, we are not a hardcore gaming guild, and I for one really like it that way ;).
I would like to roll a horde character, but honestly I just don’t have the time to play more than one toon seriously… and like Jayn it’s all about the guild for me, and I miss them when I’m on other servers in unguilded alts.
