Wow, James Berardinelli is even cooler than I thought

You may be familiar with his movie reviews, available at http://www.reelviews.net/ He’s included in the “cream of the crop” critics at Rotten Tomatoes, and I’ve always felt his tastes dovetailed well with mine.

Well, I was reading his ReelThoughts column, and thought he was off base about something, so I e-mailed him and offered my opinion, asking if he really meant what it seemed he was implying.

Not two hours later, I got a reply in my inbox. I clicked on it, figuring it was a bot-response saying my message had been received. Nope, it was a thought-out, specific response to my concern. (Plus, it turns out he agreed with me after all.)

So, good on James, he is a nice guy, as well as being a good movie critic!

Yeah he’s written back to me several times with thoughtful emails, tho the last time he misconstrued something I said (or I misconstrued the irony quotient in one of his reviews) and he got very rude with me.

Yes, I wrote to him once, rather irked when he started on about politics in one of his reviews. He actually wrote back to me, which amazed me to no end, and while not apoligixing, actually took the time to address my complaint.
