On Kazaa I noticed a banner ad which said “Punch the bouncer to win a free laser pointer”. So, just for fun, I click it, intentionally missing the bouncer by as far as I can. He was at the opposite side as where I punched.
A window came up saying “WINNER”. I would have laughed, were it not for the dozen or so pop-ups that came afterward.
Just…wow.
You mean they’re not really a test of eye-hand coordination, that requires nigh but superhuman reflexes and hyperspeed synapses? All those years I’ve spent training. The hours spent deciding which box to pick, and working on my dexterity so I can prevail in my neverending battle to punch the monkey (no, not that one, you perverts!), were spent in vain? How will I go on?
