Wow - Microsoft support actually works!!

I really never though I’d find myself posting anything like this. So here goes…
I tried to install SP2 via Windows Update two days ago. It immediately failed, with an error code that Google and the Microsoft KB didn’t identify. So I follow the links to report a problem…

Less than 48 hours later, I get a personal email back. It provides a mirror link to ensure I can download SP2 easily, and two possible explanations for the problem. One of them worked, and I’m now SP2-ed, four hours later.

Wow. Am I in league with the devil, now?

So yesterday I’m having some problems with a Microsoft optical mouse. Try using the web-based support: it won’t accept the product ID as a valid one (it was checked 6 times by me and others).

No way to even squawk the problem to them because the web dialog needs a valid product ID.

“Microsoft support” is an oxymoron.
