Not me, luckily. But we’re a small unit of a big company, and our bosses were told to reduce headcount by 10%. That works out to one person in our Engineering department, and one in Test. Good people, very loyal, did their jobs well, and now they’re gone.
I do understand the feeling Athena. My company did the same. I didn’t get axed in the first round, but they got me in the second. I hope you fair better, and make sure and get your resume together just in case.
Yeah, that’s pretty much what worries me. Losing my job, and even if I don’t, working in a place where they have layoffs like this. It makes sense from the “get the stock up HIGH” point of view, but in general, morale goes down and people don’t feel very loyal.
Yup, i’s icky. I just got laid off last month. 25% of the entire company was axed the same day. Some people had been there three months, some, like me, two years or more.
