I’m a poet. What’s funny about poetry is that a lot of us will never admit in person what we do. It’s embarrassing and leads to other people declaring they, too, are poets. If you’re lucky, you will escape with only 50% of the group being poets. If you’re unlucky, they will read their poetry to you.
