No dice. Maybe I need to register?
No, CNN.com is free and no-registration-required. I use it all the time, and I’ve never registered. The search function should work no matter what. Maybe they don’t archive their photo galleries? I’ll try myself, and get back to you.
Wow! It looks like the SOTU has dropped off the front page of CNN.com entirely; not even any capsule links below the top story of the day. Doesn’t bode well for a post-speech “bounce” for the President’s agenda, I guess. I also failed to find the photo gallery that I looked through there only this morning; looks like it’s gone. I did find this webpage which mentions Sgt. Rieman; he’s the second soldier profiled: U.S. Department of Defense
Google gave me no images of him in the gallery at the SOTU, either. I did see that he’s been honored by a CGI G.I. Joe doll in his own image, though, FWIW.
Sorry - wish I could be more help.
That’s never stopped us before.
From the Jewish point of view:
A kosher animal has (among other things) a cloven hoof. Ewoks are clearly shown to have prehensile paws / hands, and not cloven hooves. Therefore (by syllogism), Ewoks are not kosher.
So a generation of Star Wars fans had the acuity and perceptiveness of Talmudic scholars, after all.
And here I am, trying to explain to my wife how we got from an analogy between something Bush said and the Star Wars trilogy to whether Ewoks were kosher and/or halal.
Damn, I love this place.
With all due respect, if you had to explain that to her, you need a new wife. Fundamental incompatibility.
