WSoP "Razz" Question

For those that don’t know, “Razz” is a form of 7-card stud poker where the worst hand wins.

In the World Series of Poker, the fact that the worst five cards can make a straight or a flush does not matter. Aces are low so the worst hand possible is Ace-2-3-4-5. (your home game might have different rules)

Last night, I was watching an old Razz WSoP event and the following situation occurred to me.

Suppose two players get to River card (7th) and they each make three pair. First guy pairs up sixes, fours and deuces. 2nd player pairs up fives, threes, and ACES.

Player 1’s hand 6-6-4-4-3-2-2,
Player 2’s hand 5-5-4-3-3-A-A

Who has the best RAZZ hand? Sinces Aces are low, are two Aces a “worse” hand than two deuces?

Yes, 3-4-5-A-A is the worst (winning) hand here- you always count from the top. Since the “top” in these case are pairs in each hand, you count from them first.

Thanks RBATB, just seems weird to have Aces be the lowest pair.
