I kinda do think of Lake Buena Vista as a tourist trap, fwiw.
Well, the fudge we received as a gift was tasty while it lasted. We were enjoying a tiny piece each evening. Then I bought a watermelon and we began having watermelon for dessert each evening.
Now I cannot find the remaining fudge! Coincidentally, my gf works from home.
Uranus Fudge claims to be the best. I bet pre-teens think it’s funny.
Nobody buys fudge anymore. There are just too many stores.
That’s a great name for a confection that looks a lot like poop. And they are clearly leaning into it.
I wonder if their fudge is any good.
I’m proud of everyone that participated in this thread without mentioning anything about the employees who pack the product for shipment/sale.
Oh, check out uranus fudge (link above). They mention it many many times.
Oh my. Many, many times. ![]()
1 - Congratulations on the completion of your noble quest.
2 - Well, there are worse things to be inundated with, I suppose.
And then there’s the Peter pull at St. Taffy’s!
I am currently in Italy (as of this writing) and here it is gelato.
Lines out the door of many of them and they are found seemingly everywhere (read: touristy areas I have been)
I remember New Orleans as having daiquiri bars rather than fudge shops. ISTR a daiquiri kiosk on the roof of Jax.
If only there was some way of identifying them using symbolic notation…
Sounds like they are full of hot air.
Absolutely! Orlando = Tourist Corridor
So many distractions to choose? Did you mention cruises? Yes one can book an Orlando to Bahama cruise ![]()

One can book a combo trip where one leaves Orlando/Buena Vista on a bus to Port Canaveral to get on a ship. Ain’t no ports in Orlando, even if you count the suburbs. ![]()
Well, could be, the touristy, culinary Specisl where you are at, fer instance, Tampa Bay… is the awesome, smoked mullet dip with saltines.
Mwah Mwahhh, mwahhh…
Fudge or Mullet?!
I remember when Cedar Point, on fresh Water Lake Erie was known for their excellent Salt Water Taffy in so many flavors. They had taken that New Jers3y Shore Boardwalk candy and made it tradution in shore, Sandusky, OH. Same thing the Greeks did Here on Lake Erire with Coney (Island) Hot Dogs. Toledo, Detroit.
Maybe that should be a variable, “shore#h20” , maybe the fudgeerie location anomaly is directly related to “shoreside” proximity. might be these are “seaside” confectionaries in great preponderance.
Shreveport and Bossier City have drive-through daiquiri stores.
