WTF. Whats Israel up to on the quiet?

Just heard Israel has launched an attack involving 50 tanks on the Palastinian city of Jericho. This is the second town theyve invaded in the last few days.

Do they think we won’t notice because of all the other stuff going on?

The prime suspect for the terrorist attacks is Bin Laden in Afghanistan. Possibly supported by Iraq.

But all this has nothing (so far as we are currently aware) to do with Palastine or the PLO or Hamas or Islamic Jihad.

So whats Israel doing?

I think the US should make it clear to Israel that they should not use the terrorist actions in New York and Washington as cover for an invasion of Palastine.

It’s the Israeli/Palastine conflict that is probably at the root of all this anyway so I don’t see how escalating the conflict will help the situation any.

Palestinians and Israelis have hotly contested the town of Jericho for many moons. I doubt if it is at all related to WTC.

I don’t think that it has to do with a cover up at all. I really think that the Israelis see this as an opportune time to attack, considering the Palistinians are preoccupied with everything going on over here. They see it as a perfect time to strike, if you will. Hell, I’m all for the Israelis occupation of Israel/Palistine. I think they way they’re going about occupying it may be wrong, with all the killing, but still.

The Palestinians approve of what was done to the WTC. They consider terrorism a valid method of political expression. Even if they were not involved in this particular act of terrorism, they have been involved in many others, and they will be involved in many more. The Israelis are rightly taking the necessary steps to keep the purveyors of terror and bloodshed from winning. I notice, and I approve.

Those are probably tanks that the USA sold to them. I know we gave them lots of stuff although i don’t remember just what.

Monday I would have been up in arms about that. Suddenly, I’m not too sure about how I feel concerning Isreal’s tactics. Part of me is actually saying “Go get them.” and the other part of me is horrified that I could think that. I keep saying to myself “Tommorrow, everything will make sense again.” Somehow, I doubt it.

Just keep saying it. Eventually, it will come true.

Winning what exactly, their country back?

Random violence never has and never will be the solution to anything. Hate breeds hate, violence begets violence. The reason Palestinians hate Israelis so much is that most of them know someone who was senselessly killed by the Israeli government, and the reason most Israelis hate Palestinians so much is that many of them know someone killed by a terrorist attack. This invasion will just make more Palestinians support what the radical militant groups are doing, just as their terrorist attacks increase the Israeli public outcry for retalliation.
