WTH is wrong with mp3.com?

A long time ago, I created an mp3.com account for the time my band was ready to post our mp3s to the web. Now, whenever I go to the login page, it gives me a ‘page cannot be displayed’ error.

This has happened every single time I’ve tried over the past two weeks and it is not dependent on the time of day. Again, this is the login page, not the post-login page. I don’t even get to type in my account name.

I have found no literature on their site saying they were going to stop allowing bands to post mp3s. What gives? Does anyone know?

They probably have moved it.

Go to http://www.mp3.com/artist/login.html

Click “member login”

Click “your artists” at the bottom of the next page.

At the bottom of the next page, then, should be your band’s name.

Tricky but you’ll get used to it.

I think MP3.com are under a Temporary Restraining Order right now as a result of a Napster-related lawsuit.

Unfortunately, I saw that on http://www.tech-report.com and their search function is blown. Anyone else?

But why would they be on a temporary restraining order stopping people from putting mp3s of their own creation on their site?

That makes no sense. :frowning:
