WWF Fans - help me out, what was I watching?

First off, I do not watch wrestling, so any mistakes I may make, please just let them slide

I saw the first part of an interesting special. I do not enjoy watching wrestling, but this was fascinating. There were normal people who tried out and acted like idiots. The auditions were in New York and were quite interesting, the prospects went through several phases and cuts. Eventually the list was chopped down to about six or seven and they were sent to a “training camp”.

At the end the show said there would be more episodes to follow, but because I do not watch wrestling or follow it, what happened with these contestants? Is this a regular show?

Sorry about the all-bold

Preview - learn it, love it.

Sounds like WWF Tough Enough on MTV. It was a really good show. The winners (one male, one female) ended up with WWF contracts but got shipped down to the minors after very little TV exposure.

Answers to these questions may help figure it out…

A) when did you see this?

B) what station were you watching?

AHHHH - I agree with Ace. I remember that show…it was a while ago though, no?

Ace - That sounds right. I was really curious about one girl that won - she was over six feet?

Skittles - I was watching TSN and it was around 7:00pm on a weeknight - This was a few weeks ago.

Yes, she was over six feet tall but had to leave the contest early due to knee injuries she got during training.

This does sound like Tough Enough.

Maven was the male winner, and Nidia was the female winner. After three battles with Tazz on TV Maven was sent down to OVW for continued training. I would expect to see him sometime in the next year if he keeps up the good work he showed in Tough Enough and on TV.

Nidia was sent down as well to the OVW, but she was not doing as well as Maven was. I don’t expect her to do nearly as well, but she does have promise.

Tough Enough 2 has already started filming, and should start airing in Feburary.

So, where are the wedding pictures? Did I miss something?
