In the scene where Wolverine can’t sleep and comes downstairs there is youngish kid, maybe about 8, watching television and changing the channels by blinking his eyes. Wolverine asks him if he couldn’t sleep and the kid says something like “I don’t ever sleep.”
Anyone know who this kid is? Was he just created for the movie or is he an obscure character I’m just not recognizing?
“What’s his power?”
“Well, he’s terribly mysterious.”
“That’s his power, he’s mysterious?”
“He’s TERRIBLY mysterious, actually.”
“Yeah, plus he can cut guns in half with his mind.”
What about the kid who stuck out his reptilian-like tongue? Is that ALL he has for a mutant ability? That would suck, kinda like how Meg of Family Guy only had the ability to let her nails grow long really fast and retract at will.
OK, the kid with the blinking-television character reminded me of a mutant kid in the X-Terminators mini-series. (It was basically a New Mutants/X-Factor spinoff in the late 90s.) The kid had glasses and could create anything he wanted from technology. My guess is that it’s him, although I can’t remember his name for the life of me.
Reptile-tounge boy, beats me.
I’m positive the screaming girl was intended to be Syrin, a.k.a. Theresa O’Rourke, Banshee’s daughter.
ISTR Reptile-tongue boy being called Artie in the beginning (ICBW), and, if so, that makes him the little pink-skinned mute boy who projects pictures instead of talking who was in the Generation X series.
reptile tongue boy could have pretty good power with that tongue of his…I know some woman who would adopt him in the blink of an eye - as long as it didn’t make there handbags fall apart.
Doug Ramsey, I think he’s thinking of. Codenamed Cypher - mutant power to innately understand all languages. Doug died saving a fellow team member. A techno-organic being called Warlock died a bit later. The two had been best friends, and had ‘merged’ before when they fought on the same team. They were resurrected as a fused being named Douglock.
Either way, Doug never had the powers that the kid displayed in the movie. He was rather lame as mutants go. Douglock, however, would be able to make parts of himself into a remote control that he could use to control a TV. Problem is, Douglock is still a being of living circuitry, and therefore would not be able to be tranquilized.
his blinking made guns fall apart - it was a crap joke to do with the ‘blink of an eye’ bit of my message. Handbags were the only thing I could think of that ladies might have that could fall apart. Sorry - shit I know
