What, I’m the only one following the phony manufactured media blowout? Personally, I think the hardware sounds terrific, 3 3ghz IBM processor cores, 512 mg unified memory, integrated wifi, 20gb expandable hard drive, cutting edge ATI graphics, true HD output for all games, and wireless controllers. Couldn’t really ask for more in a $300-$400 package. Backwards compatibility would be icing, but not really a dealbreaker for me if it’s not included.
But, the game footage released so far isn’t all that remarkable. Certainly not the generational leap we’ve become accustomed to. All the games look only marginally better than Doom 3 or Halo. Personally, I won’t be plunking down cash until the verdict is in on all three new systems.
