XP and Explorer Q

I’ve just upgraded from ME to XP (the easiest OS install I have ever done. All hail Bill, for he is the righteous one).

Anyhoo, under ME (and 95 and 98 as well) there was a folder in the windows directory called history. This contained all the websites one had visited in Explorer. I cant find it in XP. Anybody know where it is?

On my XP computer, “History” is now a button on the Explorer task bar at the top of the screen when Explorer is open. If pressed, it will open a window to the left of the browser with your history contained therein.

I think it’s tied to the user now. Look in…

C:\Documents and Settings{your user name}\Local Settings\History

The Favorites folder is in the same place as the History one now, too. Just replace History with Favorites in Why A Duck’s address above.

Much appreciated people. I had looked in the documents and settings folder but couldnt see it. These new fangled computer thingies are fierce confusing
