Yahoo E-Mail Account Owners: Trash Questions

After I read your responses to threads I participate in, I just delete the answer and it goes into the trash folder.

Since I have been posting a lot more these days ;), I wanted to see how full my folder would get before the folder is emptied?

The highest it ever got was 428.

Right now it’s at 230.

What’s the highest yours has gotten, and before you answer, yeah I know: I’m easily entertained (these days! :D)

I am somewhat obsessive about keeping my email folders to a minimum, including the trash. On the accounts where it’s not automatically emptied, I’ll do it myself about once a week or so. It drives me crazy at work to see people with hundreds of emails in their inboxes (no, I don’t hack, I just notice if I happen to be at someone’s desk.) I found when I did save a lot, thinking I’d enjoy re-reading it later, I’ve have it in there, untouched 3 or 4 years later. No more…

But I don’t get much email anyway - I don’t subscribe to threads and I have a specific account that I use for commercial purposes, so my personal accounts don’t get cluttered with too much spam.

And I have to agree, you’re easily entertained… (says the woman who plays Stack’Em endlessly…)

I guess I should hide my inbox with 4120 emails in it from you (not that the emails are from you… well, you know what I mean).

I admit, I am a little behind on archiving, but I am under a protective order not to delete anything regarding one case. So it is easier to keep everything, then once a month or so block archive by sender, then just delete everything else.

My spam automatically gets dumped, and the trash seems to clear out pretty often. I don’t seem to have a lot in my inbox. I did see one person during a QA that had over 2,000 emails in her inbox.

I always knew I liked FairyChatMom. We have similar email habits.

I let it go until it’s automatically dumped. I’ve accidentally deleted messages and I like being able to retrieve them.

What’s not to like?
