Yankee Stadium Music

[sub]disclaimer: I hate the Yankees like any good American who is not a New Yorker should.[/sub]

I am half-watching the World Series, doing a couple of other things, and cruising the SDMB. Derek Jeter is coming up to bat and I swear they were playing Kashmir in the background. Then Paul O’Neill comes up, and they play the opening bars of Baba O’Reilly*.

Now as I said above, I hate the Yankees, but how cool is that?
[sub]**Spandex waistband, he wore a spandex waistband!*[/sub]

[sub]PS: When Fernando Valenzuela pitched in Camden Yards, I was always disappointed that they didn’t play the eponymous by ABBA[/sub]

I believe that Sammy Sosa has the theme from The Natural playing when he takes the plate.

Even more proof that the Yankees are Satan. One does NOT go to the ballyard to listen to Top 40 tunes. You go to watch baseball. I’ll take Fenway Park and it’s simple “Centerfield” before each game, and “Love that Dirty Water” after a Sox win. Music DURING play is just plain wrong.
