Yao Ming will not play next season and may be done. That has to be a huge blow to basketball fans. Changes the power in the West doesn’t it?
Not necessarily. Houston took the Lakers deep in the series and played them very well despite not having Tracy McGrady and Yao.
Right.
Plus, there’s some serious talk about acquiring Chris Bosh.
The West has been slowly changing for years and we finally saw it last year. Phoenix missed the playoffs and will be even worse next year. All the stars of the 2000’s are getting old - Nash, Novitski, Duncan, Michael Finley, Ginobli - now Yao is done.
The up and comers are the Nuggets and the Trailblazers. OKlahoma City has a really nice young roster, but a long ways to go.
Time for the East to dominate.
