Why are they probing butts and dissecting cows? Why is this knowledge important in the future?
I would assume that some teenage timetravlers got drunk and made the cornfield patterns.
My theory:
Butt probes: there’s a disease that causes anuses to degenerate so they need to design new artificial anuses. However, anuses in the future aren’t as powerful as anuses today, so they are examining our anuses for design ideas.
Cow dissection: there’s no meat in the future, and all animals are extinct. Howeve,r the lack of methane from animals caused some other type of planetary disruption (bad weather?) So, they need to build robot/cyborg cows that fart methane.
Thoughts? Other commonly reported alien activities?

I have a friend that feels he has so little in common with other humans that must have been dropped off here from another alien society. Sometimes he says he is joking, but he repeats the story so often that I think he sincerely has doubts. For the record, I don’t believe he is an alien. Most of us have similar thoughts about our peers.
Earthlings seem to believe that aliens would have heads and appendages in a way similar to mankind. I don’t know or believe that as factual. Perhaps an alien could be plant like. Such a thing would greatly impede their ability to operate a human like space craft. We have to think outside the box as to what an alien might be. And if such aliens were so different from us, they certainly would have a mistaken fascination with human kind until they really figured us out.
The real question for me is this. I understand why aliens might come to investigate earth society. I do not understand why they would return.
Actually the anal probes make alot more sense if the aliens are really human(ish) time travelers. It’s all just a sexual fetish and our descendants get off on watching savages being violated anally.
