Yay! I'm hooked on a foreign haircare product!

I bought when I was overseas a year ago and now I’m running out. Not only do they not sell it at all in the U.S., but according to groups.google.com, the brand isn’t mentioned once in alt.fashion. Their homepage is only in Italian and they don’t sell it online. That means I’ll have to get an Italian pal to send it to me personally.

Yes! This will raise my pretention level at least 300%! Using international connections just to procure an obscure yet miraculous hair-care product, are you kidding me? Do you have any idea what social strata in the Beltway yuppieburg this will rocket me too? This hardly disguised blessing has allowed me to outgrow just about every one of my current associates. Here, listen. This is me in a couple of months:

“Hey, what’s this?”
“Oh, that? It’s great. They don’t sell it in this country so I got Nicola over in Florence to send me some”.

I can’t wait!

Next year I’m going to Morocco so I can try some of that dental floss those Gap boys were bragging about.

So? What is it called? What does it do i.e. shampoo, frizz tamer etc. I wonder if they sell it at the alimentari down the block. Dish!

Come on, pizzabrat, don’t make me come looking for you! What’s the product, and what does it do?

Well. I don’t really know if it’s that miraculous. I’m not that experienced with hair care products, but the lady at the store recommended it. It’s Biopoint No Stop Force Serum (con vitamina C). It’s just a moisturizer (i think) but it seems to give my hair a perfect texture and hue (i.e., it’s not glossy shiny, but it glows nicely in the light). I really just worked myself up over the fact that I convinced myself that I need it.

Just found out it’s a Maybelline product. See. Don’t really know what I’m talking about.

Googling “Biopoint No Stop Force Serum Toronto” brings up exactly one entry, a PDF from the American Society for Cell Biology. Googlewhack!

Biopoint (site in Italian) No wonder  I use the Programma Cristalli Liquidi (ai semi di lino) spray, well when I have time to play with my hair that is…tis simply MAHVELOUS! Don’t think it is a Maybelline product, but I could be wrong.

It’s funny you started this thread. I was just on vacation in Spain and forgot my hair gel at the hotel right at the beginning. So I bought some local brand at the nearest pharmacy and it’s very neat stuff. Very thin, almost watery, consistency but works just like normal heavy gel. Much better than the old stuff I was using. And cheap too.

I haven’t checked out whether it’s available locally, but if not, that would be rather disappointing.
