Why the hell haven’t I heard them on the radio?
I just listened to their album It’s Blitz, and have to say I loved it!
“Hey radio, wanna know why you’re dying? Because you suck!”

If you like them, try Grand Ole Party. They’re a defunct band whose lead singer – Kristin Gundred, AKA Dee Dee of Dum Dum Girls – reminds me a lot of Karen O.
^thanks, I will!
“Maps” from their 2003 album from their album Fever to Tell got some radio airplay. (It’s also on one of those Guitar Hero/Rock Band games.) I saw them at a show in 2004, and they were just fantastic live. Karen O has great stage presence, Nicolas Zinner fills the sonic space with his guitar work, and Brian Chase is a solid drummer with a style that has the power of rock with a bit of jazz swing to it.
However, the album It’s Blitz is quite a departure from the art-rock/garage-rock sound of “Fever to Tell.” Still, I’d recommend you to check out Fever to Tell when you get a chance. It’s one of my favorite early 2000s albums.
They get infrequent radio play on KROQ here in Los Angeles. My favorite song of theirs is “Maps.” (I used it to seed one of my Pandora channels, so now I can listen to all the Yeah Yeah Yeahs I want.)
“Gold Lion” got a bunch of radio play too.
I was first introduced to them with the video for “Heads Will Roll,” which is freakin’ awesome.
