Fall… in my opinion, the best time of the year.
Halloween is more decorated than christmas here. And I think its more colorful than spring, though after a long Michigan winter, starting to see the buds on the trees is nice… but I’m in love with fall colors… and await while things are turning slowly here.
And yes, the food!!!
I may splurge this year, being pregnant, I can say we need it, though does anyone know the cnadies that are a caramel on the outside and peanut butter on the inside? They come on orange and black wrappers.
My husband is a sucker for candy corn, I buy three bags and hide them and give him little baggies throughout the year.
Though I love the smell of them, theres a homemade candle company in In. that has a three colored candle named candy corn it the smell is awsome!
I’m otherwise not much of a candy person, and I make traditional winter foods all through the year. Chili and turkey are something we have a lot.
I still love jumping into piles of leaves, even now that I’m the one raking them. I’ll have to get little disturbance to jump a few times for me.
Thanks for the link, FairyChatMom. Today, I learned about candy corn.
I noticed that the alt-tag on the picture said “unbiased candy corn advice” which made me laugh.
I think I should start lobbying for the introduction of candy corn to the UK.
Autumn is just starting over here. It’s got a little colder, and it’s pissed down with rain for the last two days. A few leaves have started to yellow.
On the way to work, there’s an amazing bi-colour oak tree. One side of the tree turns red very early, while the other stays green. It’s like an arboreal version of Snow White’s apple. Today, the red half looks to be about two thirds of the way to full red. I wonder what’s happened to the tree to make one half turn red so early.
