Yes, I know we've done the Pat Buchanan is a fucking racist thing before.

Is this the book in which he gloats about assulting a police officer?

Didn’t see a thing. I don’t know nothin’. He just fell down - a lot.

Pat’s genteel expression of racism (hey, he didn’t say the n word or anything) is getting tiresome. As a very white guy I am much happier at the racial prospects for this country’s future. There are few things much more annoying than some right winger white guy complaining about how he or some relative couldn’t get a job due to affirmative action and unions. There are plenty of minimum wage jobs out there and you can offer to work for less pay than others at these skilled jobs as long as it isn’t less than minimum wage.

Maybe the rules should be reversed. If you find a sentence that doesn’t use one of the buzzwords, take a drink.

Nah, who wants to stay sober during a drinking game?

Hard to play the game if you get smashed within the first two minutes though.

I can’t tell if he’s excluded white women from his analysis of Traditional American angst, or if he’s under the impression that Affirmative Action is a negroid thing. But regardless of how you slice this piece of fruitcake, you get a bunch of nuts.

Gotta say that MSNBC has a lot of nerve handing this fool a mic everyday and treating him as though he’s source of reason rather than the reptile that he is. If he has to be on TV, why can’t he be on FOX news where all the rest of his paranoid klansmen congregate?

I’d agree that officials should refuse to obey many of those orders. It’s a shame they haven’t in the past and that it is only with a Democrat, supposedly liberal administration that people think such an oath is necessary.

Some are just poorly thought out, though.

I’d bet the majority of legitimate searches are warrantless, whether done with the consent of the searched, or otherwise legal searches such as those under a Terry stop. Are the Oath Keepers saying that cops should refuse to perform Terry stops?

So would I. I just find it telling that they didn’t bother to do so during the Bush Administration, when some of the things they refuse to participate in were, you know, actually happening.

Wait a second here. Maybe y’all can help me with something here. There’s this quote:

Um, did Pat just blame undeserved Wall Street bonuses on illegal immigrants? 'cause you got to admit that leap is pretty fucking impressive. It’s the “Evel Kneivel jumps the Snake River Canyon” of right wing punditry. And Pat wasn’t even wearing a helmet. I think I’m actually impressed.

Man, get it through your head. These people are dumber than shit.
If you told them that Obama was going to force everyone to get gay married and that he would send members of the death panels into your bedroom to make sure you and your partner are really buttfucking eachother and not just faking it, I’m sure they would believe that as well.

Exactly my point. Though it wasn’t just the Bush Administration - Dems weren’t immune (Katrina and disarming populations springing to mind…).

A helmet’s primary function is to prevent brain trauma.

Let’s not assume facts not in evidence wrt whatever Mr. Buchanan might be able to protect with a helmet.

I thought Buchanan’s inclination toward racism was pretty clearly delineated by his frequent appearances on the Political Cesspool show.

I prefer these:

Note how smoothly, and without even saying it expressly, he equates “Middle America” to “white America” – and at the same time distinguishes it from “progressives,” most of whom, in fact, look white, but I guess that’s only skin-deep. (Or maybe it’s that so many “progressives” are Jews, who are technically white, but . . .)

Yet, just a bit later:

What religion are most nonwhite Americans, Pat? Hint: It ain’t Islam.

No, it’s worse than that: some of those progressives are atheists.

Or even worse again: some are Jewish atheists.

What an unintentionally perfect name . . .

So, Pat Buchanan is Starving Artist? Has anyone ever seen them together?

I rest my case. :stuck_out_tongue:

Dear God don’t drag him in here.

The day the “Oath Takers” have anything positive to contribute to the national political discourse, I’ll go over to Pat Buchanan’s house and personally fellate him while humming Dixie.

Not a big fan of the Patster myself, but the column doesn’t seem racist to me. Has the meaning of the word “racist” changed to mean “hates and blames liberals” without anybody telling me?

Cuz recently I’ve come to think maybe it has.

We have race issues in this country, and have had them for a while. Assuming that all parties agree that everyone should be treated equally, does disagreement concerning how we go about attaining that goal constitute racism?
