yet another "fashion advice, please" thread - skirt/shoe/stocking color combos

Are you saying it’s okay to wear a navy skirt, tights, and shoes? Because I have a really cute navy dress that I haven’t been able to figure out what kind of shoes to wear with, and I really want to wear navy tights and navy shoes. Brown shoes would just look awful, and black…eehhhh, I don’t like wearing black shoes with a navy outfit. I do have a pair of silver heels I could wear, I guess…

I think same-color tights and skirt can work if the tights have some kind of design rather than being plain. As for shoes - silver sounds good. I have a pair of dark red pumps that I’d wear with a navy skirt. Anything with a bit of color would be nice, I think.

It really depends on how old you are. If I saw a 50 year old woman in what you’re describing, it wouldn’t seem out of place at all. So, take that for what ya’ will.

Well with the sandals and skirts, your skin is the offsetting color. The problem with skirt, tights and shoes all being the same color is it kind of all just blends in.

I didn’t want to use the word dated but…yeah, dated is the word. It’s just a previous style is all. And one that’s not terribly flattering.

Having a style that is outdated is okay if it’s flattering. Unfortunately this isn’t one of those cases.

OP, have we lost you? What’s your age - I think you’re early 30’s, right?

I’m 32, so…I’m going to take that as a no. :stuck_out_tongue:

Dark red shoes sound like an fantastic choice with a blue dress. Now to find those shoes.
