Pink Martini, from Portland, Oregon, on their album Sympathique, open the song “Soledad” with a piano solo. It sounds Chopin-esque to me, and the song credits include Frederic Chopin; however, it doesn’t specify “excerpted from” or “inspired by”. I’ve tried flipping through some Chopin books, but haven’t stumbled on anything that looked likely.

It’s a passage from his Andante spianato and Grande Polonaise, op. 22.
Interestingly, when I got to that page, the color of the link to your song showed I had been there recently. I tried a couple of quick board searches, but I didn’t see it.

I checked the page source, and the colour for that link is “#dddddd” while for the other links it’s “#ffffff”
