Yet another reason not to move to Florida

Pennywise? Rick Scott is way scarier.

I expect that in the near future, all law enforcement officers will be required to say, “Your papers please.” If you are not a registered republican, you will be executed on the spot.

Yeah, it really is (at least) two states jammed together. North of Gainesville is South Georgia/Alabama, anything south of that* is varying flavors of Northern states**.

And honestly, very little of it actually sucks except for a distressing tendency to vote against it’s own self-interest, but I blame term limits for a lot of that. When the Pork-Chop Gang ran things, we were better.

RNATB, Thanks for the assist!

*This is a massive over-simplification. There are areas (Bristol, etc) that are as Southern as anything Georgia has to offer.
**Until you get south of Miami which is something else altogether.

Never!!! (I like it here too, unfortunately)

Okay, spell check really? Bartow becomes Bristol?

What you get when you elect Skeletor to be Governor.

Well, he promised to steal the power of Grayskull and use it to reinvigorate the economy. As planks in a campaign platform go, it was a good one.

This.

We had Skeletor’s husband. Then he knocked up the maid. But he had us all saying kah-lee-FOR-nia and feeling manly and ready to squish the girly-men out there. But only after a glass of wine. Chardonnay being preferred.

Heh. I have to say though, I’ve had one meeting with Gov. Skeletor and, in person, he’s a heck of nice guy. Very personable, bothered to get briefed on the topic at hand (and remembered it), asked intelligent questions and seemed to understand the answers. Overall, a bit above average for Governors*.

Still agree with less than half his politics, just saying…

*For those interested, my personal sample set is 5 - 3-2 Republican/Democrat. I’ve met several others, but on a personal not professional level.

You realize, of course, that that is what they do? Birds gotta swim, fish gotta sing, politicians make you think they like you. Bill Clinton was the absolute master of it, people would meet him for the first time and five minutes later offer to blow him. And those were the guys!

And then there’s The Villages, which is like a different planet altogether.

I’m gettin the heck outta Dodge. I’ll be moving to Seattle in September. But I’ll still be here for the circus… ahem, the RNC.

I hear Cali is pretty good for medical marijuana. Also has the third highest life expectancy in the US.

So does Oregon. Every election has a voter initiative to legalize it.

I have family that lives in the Daytona area, and my wifes parents moved down to the same area about a decade ago. I’ve been visiting the state quite regularly my whole life, and that whole time the same thing has always happened to me…

I can’t wait to get there, and then I can’t wait to leave.
