Yet more Dead Like Me questions

I’m still watching the SciFi channel’s DLM broadcasts, and I have a few more questions. People have mentioned that in season 2 the continuity slips a little bit. I want to make sure it’s the continuity slippage I am seeing and that I didn’t miss something. I saw 2 separate episodes in which the deaths reaped were in no way accidental, yet were reaped by our heroes inthe AD dept.

The VIPR episode, where George has to reap a rock star, who was clearly not “accidentally” shot.

The other murder episode, where Daisy witnesses an afternoon tryst gone bad and leaves the perp’s information…don’t THINK that was an accidental death, unless you mean “Accident” in the wink wink, nudge nudge sense.

Also, I hope we find out something about Rube’s kid (and why he was wanted) before the series ends. It will totally suck if we can’t.

There is a little bit of info about both in the last few episodes.

Stop reading if you don’t want to know because I am too lazy to figure out spoiler boxes.

The daughter lives a long life and Rube get to see her at an old folks home just before she dies. She seems to recognize Rube as her father and he sings her a familiar song.

Rube robbed a bank or some such. In one episode there is a flashback to him putting a gun in his pocket before he goes out. In another episode he discovers that a large amount of cash that he mailed to his family (I assume from the crime) was never delivered and it comes back in the dead letter office.

The part you are confused on… they don’t just do “accidental” deaths… they do tramatic deaths (non-natural)… could be accidental, could be murder, etc…

I just discovered this series on DVD recently and watched the whole thing. Good stuff. It doesn’t wrap up entirely, but you can tell the writers suspected that the series MIGHT be over in that they kind of brought a LITTLE closure to the series.

Now that you mention it, you could be right. There was also the gay guy who suicided after his partner died in an accident. And the rock star (Murdock from “MacGuyver”) who ODed on heroin or something.
