Does this make any of you Dopers nervous?
I usually find thirteen to be a lucky number, but by saying this, I probably just jinxed myself.
Be careful out there, don’t walk under any ladders or break any mirrors!
Nope. Only got 15 minutes or so of Friday 13th to go. And th’ day has almost always been lucky for me, seeing as my mum and grandma came to NZ on a Friday 13.
When I posted this I realized that the Aussie and NZ Dopers were just about out of the woods. Since you had a good day, then I think I will try not to fret too much. I am a little bit superstitious, thought. I think it’s the Irish in me.
Good advice to stay away from ladders an’ about breaking mirrors, tho’, Spooky. You never know what they’ll drop from ladders these days – and decent-sized mirrors are fiendishly expensive to replace. 
I grew up with an Irish-Yorkshire mix of superstition in my family, Spooky. It’s just that Friday 13th never fazed us.

Friday 13th is my lucky day - I was born on a friday 13th, many years ago 
I get to see my sweetie in two months and one day.
So no, it’s not unlucky.
Well, the photocopier broke today…
My birthday, and my son’s, both fall on the 13th of the month. Mine in May, his in January. Friday the 13th is no big deal to me.

Today’s Times had an article in which a study showed that statistically you were less likely to have an accident on Friday 13th, presumably because people are a bit more aware and tend to avoid walking under ladders etc… so… enjoy!
I proposed to my wife on a Friday the 13th. In October, even.
That was 13 years ago. I have no problems with Friday the 13th.
…but the repairman was here within an hour. So I think that it’s actually pretty lucky so far.

I stepped on a black cat this morning. Is that still considered bad, since he technically never crossed my path.
I love Fridays the 13th.

Today, they will be doing “Holiday Hits From Hell.”

My mother was born on a Friday the 13th, too, and it was lucky for her. And me, now that I think of it.
Friday the 13th is “Jason’s Day”. All Jasons out there, time to celebrate!
And it’s my wife’s birthday today too. So nyeh on that.
When the woman at the drive-thru gave me my change today, we both thought it was odd. My total was $6.87 and I’d given her a $20 bill. But nothing unlucky has happened yet.

Ooh, I just realized it. I hope the ghost on my hall leaves me alone. But maybe the day IS unlucky - finals are next week and I haven’t accomplished anything today.
