I’m back baby! Let previous posts be damned! God Damned!
Is the edit timer still five minutes?
Do_Not_Taunt, do not taunt me, because I’m legit now.
Please tell me there’s still a Pit.

There sure is!
God Bless You, messenger, and harbinger, of great news.
Welcome back. I have deactivated the Fred_Winkle name.
I do not understand this analogy at all.
What do you imagine is the software equivalent of filling your car up with gas?
eta: Now I guess I’ll never know.
Dear administration–please fix Colibri.
What if he ends up just laying around the message board all day and never wants to go outside?
Actually, they dug up his previous handle. He’s Harrington.
Roger that. Thank you.
Well, there are no chemistry equivalents to software, but there are many message boards running the (former) STMBs software that are functioning well. My point was that there are many fixes, other than resetting and reformatting.
Yep, that’s me. For the record, I dug it up, they didn’t.
Thanks! I’ll be interested in what you think about it. I’m not adventurous enough to try it at the moment.
Okay, so I am trying it now. It does make things more compact. It’s not the greatest that some of the buttons are gone, but the reply button at the bottom of the page is still there and I can highlight part or all of another post and reply that way. It’s not bad. I’ll try to give it a couple of days to see if the button thing drives me crazy or not.
Main problem is that I wouldn’t have the first idea of how to get it to work on my phone or even if it’s possible.
Whoosh
I love the sound, and feel, of rushing air, and emojis. Well, I don’t like emojis, but that’s on me.

I’m still not seeing the analogy. What you’re describing isn’t how gas works in a car. Gas is something you have to put into your car on a regular basis so it will keep operating. To be honest, I can’t think of any software equivalent.
If I was putting forth a car analogy, I’d say the board’s previous software is the equivalent of a car with 100,000 miles on it. And the owner is having constant problems with it. At some point the owner needs to figure out whether it’s better to put five thousand dollars a year into repairs to keep the old car going or to spend five thousand dollars a year making payments on a new car.
Nobody is saying we didn’t need a new car, just why The Homer?
I don’t think that should be the first question you ask when you get a new free car.

Thanks for trying it out and the review. The white space isn’t bothering me too much at the moment, but I’ll keep the link for reference in case it does.
Well, I don’t drive the car probably as much as you, and I haven’t driven in a few weeks, and didn’t notice a lot of the knocks and pings. I’m not saying this is horrible, it’s not. But I walked out to my parking space expecting to get behind the wheel of my Honda Accord and found an AMC Gremlin in the parking space. Yeah, it’s a bit shocking.

The implication is that the previous site looked newer than this one. It look more dated, actually.
