That’s right, folks. 30 years ago today, my parents went to my aunt and uncle’s wedding. Later that day, they went to the hospital, where I arrived. And the world was changed for the better (though that wasn’t necessarily the view of my older brothers).
30 doesn’t feel that much different than 29. I’m still recovering from last week’s cold and yesterday’s thrilling view of monkey sex. Maybe something else exciting will happen today, though I don’t know what could top those (well, me getting some actual sex, sure, but that’s not likely).
Yeah, 30 didn’t feel any different from 29 for me either. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to see any wild monkey sex … that woulda made my day. 31 is coming up in about 10 days for me … I wonder if it’ll feel any different.

And about that birthday wild monkey sex… well… my location’s listed to the left. You know how to get to Florida, right?
Well, sure I know how to get to Florida. But I just can’t possibly make it there today. See, I swam for 40 minutes (phys ed class that I’m auditing), then I had lunch, now I’m checking e-mail, then I get to do the reading for my 2:00 class. I get out of that at 5:00, then I get to have dinner and then I work 6:15-9:30.
And it starts all over again tomorrow…maybe by Saturday I’ll get the time to have a glass of wine for my birthday. But I’m looking forward to getting my membership card! Do I get any special discounts with that? Are there any events?

Boy howdy, that birthday’s a long way back in my rearview mirror. I’m still good friends with the couple who threw me my 30th birthday party. They didn’t have any kids yet then. Their oldest just started college last week.
