This is almost as good as the comedy bit (Steven Wright’s?) about the “Idiot Tax”, which all citizens are empowered to collect. See someone do something amazingly stupid or obnoxious? Walk up to them and say, “You’re an idiot. Gimme a dollar.” I’d never have to work, again, if they’d only enact that one.
I think the Idiot Tax should scale, much like our current tax system does. For example, if you see just a regular person doing something stupid, it’s the dollar. Whereas if CEOs of large corporations do stupid things, they get charged more.

Okay, I admit I hadn’t read the article, until Tansu commented on it. Having now read it, I still like it, but now it’s for two reasons. Those of us with a little common sense can still give them out to people who truly deserve them, and people like the author of the article will be taken out of the gene pool. It’s a win-win situation.
