I was at a message board a while ago, and one poster had something in his sig that said:

You are visiting from:
IP Address: xx.xx.xxx.xx
Host: [host name]

As we all know, this information is collected every time we visit any site. I suppose it can be stored for future reference. What if you don’t want web sites to have this information?

Use one of the popular anonymous web proxies. You go to the proxy’s web site and enter the real site you want to visit – the proxy doesn’t keep records of who visits it.
