So did anyone ever find out why Jeanie seemed to suggest that PapSett made the Craig’s List posting up? I thought that was weird. I don’t care about this curlcoat psycho drama bullshit.
My guess is no.
She’s just trying to get a rise/reaction out of people.
I assumed (probably totally wrongly) that Jeanie was doing a bit a sluthing to find the original owner possibly to make him aware of the situation and give him and opportunity to ask for his dog back based on her posts just before those ones.
If I’m wrong, I apologize to Jeanie 100%. If I am correct, I hope that Jeanie has cooled off about that a bit, because I don’t think it would be helpful or fair. I realize that it would be from a position of concern, but there are probably other things that would be more helpful.
Also, the whole ‘walk your dog’ thing has been rather contentious in this thread (which I find mystifying - seriously, it’s a dog - walk it); however, I would be willing to chip in a few $$ if PapSett elected to hire a dog walker once and a while to take the pressure of herself, and give the dogs a bit more exercise if that’s what they need. Well, assuming that PapSett would accept that sort of assistance from me or anyone else.
There’s a pretty fine line between stupidity and malice. I’m thinking she’s dumb enough to believe she ‘showed us how wrong we were’, but she might be trying to get a rise. It’s hard to tell with her.
Either way it’s stupid, because neither of us *did *drop out of the thread, so it’s a meaningless observation.

The Craiglist comment? Fairly harmless. I don’t believe that she looked on Craglist last Sunday and adopted the dog. I think she bought the dog or has been looking for one for some time.
The story was a bit convenient. Who was going to call her on doing such a nice thing? Otherwise someone might suggest poor motives in buying a dog given her history.

Well, there is the general fact that their whole argument was based on merely getting angry, insulting me and telling me that I’m wrong. No facts, no cites, no indication of experience other than that of general pet owner, and I’m not even sure that Jack Batty is even that.
Also, no one at all was able to come up with even one cite from any trainer saying that a dog must be walked for no other reason than the actual walk. Everyone seems to think that part of owning a dog, anywhere, is that it must be walked for no reason other than “you are supposed to walk a dog”. Of all the dog trainers I know, and I do know quite a few, none walk their dogs except the one who lives in a condo, unless they are traveling. At home, there is no need to walk the dogs because they have yards to potty in and plenty of activities and exercise in other ways.
So yes, I do believe that I have shown that those who think that a dog must be walked are wrong. And since discussion of whether Papsett really meant it when she said she beat her dog included many people who agreed with my perception that she was exaggerating out of frustration and guilt, I’d say that those who think she is actually beating her dogs have also been shown to be wrong.
To me, it just looks like a case of Jeanie either having some problem with Papsett, or may she’s just one of those people that thinks animals are the same as humans and is hypersensitive to any indication that they aren’t treated the same. Then we had the usual Pit pile on of stupid.
