You busted all the vending machines!!!

The University where I work has a good number of vending machines. These machines often have healthy foods in them (fruit leather, lil’ packets of nuts, etc.) so I frequent them often. Lately, some assgobbler has been going around ripping the coin return receptacles out of all the machines. So when you get something from the machine and you are owed change, the change dispenses but, because the receptacle is gone, falls into the bowels of the machine, never to be seen again. Over the past week I’ve lost over $5 in change this way. I thought it was coincidence at first, that the machines were being worked on, but then I noticed that EVERY machine I run into on campus has the receptacle ripped out. I could have gotten 2 loads of laundry done with that money.

To the used snot rag who’s doing this: You’re not profiting in any way from people losing their money. You’re just doing it to be a dick. So I hope that the next thing you get from a vending machine is merrily frothing over with maggots or mold. And you don’t notice till you’re almost done eating it.

Fuckstick.

Not necessarily so. If the money is falling through the the floor of the machine, he may be able to loosen it and scoop the money out.

I’m not sure how. Do you mean falling through to the floor underneath the machine? If so, it doesn’t. It falls somewhere inside the machine. And If there’s a way to loosen the bottom of the machine, I don’t see a way myself. It looks solid. There might be screws holding the bottom in underneath, but there’s not enough space for a person to fit under there.

Either way, the person (or persons) doing it is a real asshole.

Sorry, my typo made my meaning unclear. I meant the money falling to the bottom of the machine, not to the ground.

Can’t argue that one - I agree.

Get a magnet and a string and see if you can retireve a king’s ransom in change from all the machines. Unless that’s what Mr. Asshat is already doing.

Interesting. I didn’t know that Canada had changed the content of their small denomination coins to mostly steel in 2000.

I also didn’t know this.
Hmmm.
Of course, if I went “fishing”, I bet I’d totally get caught, while the creep would get away with it.

Hey, you’re just getting you’re own money back, right? Nothing illegal about that.

Well, that was educational - I have never heard of “fruit leather” before. Sorry to hear about the sneaky dickhead breaking all the machines though.
