You couldn't make this stuff up!

When I was growing up in a fairly small town, the local gynecologist’s name was Dr. Skankey.

Girlfriend’s old OB/GYN was named:

Dr. Beaver

My son’s urologist is Dr. Huang.

Prof. David Bird is an ornithologist at McGill and used to write a bird-watching column for the local paper.

Mention of Iris Love, brought to mind a fellow (so to speak) graduate student named Iris Breast who was extremely well endowed.

An election a few years back featured, in the Outremont riding, candidates Hogg and Cauchon (the latter is the French word for hog).

“de Gaulle” is French for “from Gaul.”

In other words, “from France.”

So I guess the poster was saying that a French leader named “de Gaulle” would be redundant.

Ahhhh! Enlightenment. Many thanks.

Dr. Pillman, my psychiatrist.

I had a dentist named Dr. Payne.

Not sure what you mean by “they.” His name is Charles de Gaulle. It’s not a nickname, de Gaulle is his bona fide surname.

Ryan Dunn. Whose lifeless body was pulled from a car (just as a lifeless car was pulled from his body).

Too soon?

Texas governor named his daughter Ima. Contrary to legend, she did not have a sister named Ura.

I went to high school with an enormously overweight guy whose last name was Hogg (though he pronounced it more like “Hogue”)

There is/was a fireman in my town with the last name Smoke.

And, completely made-up, I recently read A. Lee Martinez’s book, “Gil’s All-Fright Diner”, wherein the local law enforcement officer is Sheriff Marshall Kopp

I once went to a Dr. Frankenstein. She pronounced it Frankensteen which wasn’t nearly as fun. I enjoyed getting a prescription just so it would be on the bottle.

I knew a Salvation Army officer whose surname was Major. He was Captain Major.

And, just to cap it off, he had an older brother, also an officer, who actually was a Major…

My dogs’ veterinarian is named Doctor Bone.

There’s a urologist in my hometown named Dr. Balch. We used to find that hilarious when we were kids, lol.

The reporter on BBC Radio 5 who covered the news about the possible cost of the anti-impotence drug Viagra to Britain’s National Health service was Susan Allcock. The US Food and Drug Administration spokeswoman for inquiries about Viagra is Janet Woodcock. (Reportedly from New Scientist as mentioned here, along with other aptonyms.)

I was watching the talking heads yesterday and one of the Democratic pundits was Krystal Ball.

Has she ever considered a career in the adult-entertainment industry?
