You get to eat just three types of fruit over the next five years

Easy. I don’t eat fruit anyway, other than bananas, so bananas plus two other random fruit (I chose apples and peaches).

Lemons for my iced tea and many cooking applications.

Coconut for their milk in my curries.

Cantaloupe for lunch with fresh mozzarella and prosciutto.

Fair enough.

Pineapple is my #4. It broke my heart to leave it off. So much so that I am reconsidering my selections after reading your Ode to Pineapple.

I was on a cruise once that had an unlimited amount of very fresh pineapple available. I ate it until my mouth burned. Then I kept on going.
mmm

I have been informed by a friend from India that it’s not possible to get a good mango in the USA.

So if the best ones I’ve had here are no good, then if I ever get to India I am most certainly going to eat me some mangos.

Mangoes in the Caribbean are scrumptious. They are picked ripe and have to be eaten over the sink or you’ll get mango juice everywhere.

I like to eat, eat, eat apples and bananas:smiley:

I rarely eat fresh fruit because of a sensitive stomach, but pineapple can only be truly enjoyed fresh. It’s on my list.

I must have mincemeat pie, so I guess my other two are apples and grapes.

What about nutritional supplements? We are struggling with blood pressure, and black cherry juice is often suggested. I voted cherry, before I was reminded that raisins are grapes.

In the western Pacific, we often had pickled mango. Koko, it was called. I believe someone even said it was pickled unripe mango. Amazingly sour, but wonderful.
