You got knocked the f*&% out! (Pizza store robbery goes wrong)

Fox story with link to video.

Would be robber goes into a pizza joint and tries to smack the teenaged clerk around. Robber gets beaten unconcious. Props to 17 year old Rudy Sandoval. He should be able to convert this incident into tail for months to come.

I love the picture that page opens with. Criminals. . . if you’re gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough.

Denton! Denton! Rah rah rah!

Very nice story - fair warmed the cockles of my heart.

(Better video here)

Denton-The Home of Happiness.
Unless you rob pizza places.

Don’t mess with Texas Pizza clerks!

-woohoo!

I can’t help but wonder what the guy expected when he robbed a Pizza Patron… based on the neighborhoods where I see them, I’m not surprised that they have some hard-core ass kicking employees.

[Nelson]Ha-ha![/Nelson]

Ahh, rich, greasy justice! I dub this the Texas Pizza Massacre.

Marley… if it was a franchise store… we could call it it the

Texas chain zaa massacre!

FML

Excellent!

(though I’ll bet a month’s rent, the would-be robber will file a lawsuit suing the kid, and/or the pizza place, for the beating ).

Hard to parse exactly what’s going on in the video. I always wish there was audio on these things.

I actually know that place, I used to live nearby in undergrad and I used to eat there occasionally back when it was a sandwich shop. You’d be surprised, the neighborhood’s actually fairly decent, probably a mile from the University of North Texas and a quarter mile from Texas Women’s University.

More details:

The other clerk? The one that opened the till?

That was her father that got dummied, and her husband was driving the getaway vehicle. (Her mother is also charged in the robbery.)

Frankly, I’m stunned she isn’t facing charges, too. That must have been some wig. :dubious:

I love this story.

My station reported that she hadn’t been involved. There could still be more to the story (of course!) but it seems that Mom & Dad picked up on daughter’s chatter about how well the shop was doing, etc.

I know that the DA’s (is that right) decision would be based on more information than we have, but still…

I don’t believe for a second that she didn’t know that her father was the bewigged robber when they both had their grubby mitts on the tray full of cash, at the same time. Look at the way she ran for that cash drawer when things got hairy.

By her own statement, the robber spoke to her, but she didn’t know it was her father until the wig came off - even though (according to her husband’s testimony) she knew that they were planning a robbery.

She was complicit as fuck, I don’t think she should get a walk on that without being tried.

Well, I hope at least she doesn’t get a very effusive reference from Pizza Patron, after Preso Patrono gets his thug ass deported.

So you’re half mad and half glad? :stuck_out_tongue:

And damn, that was fun to watch!

This is the kind of thing that if it were in a book, the readers would heap scorn saying it was too implausible…

I think lil Stephy was in on it–what a nice family.

I think it’s entirely possible that she might not have known it was her father even after he spoke to her simply because of the adrenalin and frenzy involved when such a thing is going on. Needless to say, I’m sure anyone’s first thought isn’t that “Hey, there’s my dad!” but more along the lines of “Of fuck! I hope I don’t get killed!!”

Larry Mudd, while I’ll agree that she should be investigated, I’m not as convinced as you are that she had to have recognized her father. Let alone that she had to be involved. It wouldn’t be the first time that criminally minded people have kept their activities secret from certain family member, esp. children, even if the activities are happening around the uninvolved family member.

WHOAH…that dude got F***ED UP!
