Finagle, I sympathize. When I was at my first college {hi, NinjaChick!) it seemed like the whole school was getting laid except me. I would have to leave parties because they would turn into six couples making out and me thinking, “Well, I guess it’s not possible to have a social life without a boyfriend.”
That said, however, I was glad to see such a thread where the OP was a woman. A few weeks ago, a young man posted about losing his virginity, and the OP plus the first three posts all had an undertone that the partner didn’t matter, the circumstances didn’t matter, all that mattered was that he’d put his penis in a vagina and ejaculated. Now he was a real man.
So I was glad to see that a woman could rejoice in losing her virginity, and that the partner and circumstances were as important to her as the act. No, “Oh, I should have waited…now he’s not going to ask me to the prom.” No, “And if my parents find out they’ll flay me alive.” Just, “I had sex and it was great!”

Anyway. Um. I actually thought that my thread was pretty tame and unoffensive compared to past IMHO/MPSIMS threads, but clearly, chacun a son gout. About the lack of protection: yes, that was an incredibly stupid thing to do, but I wasn’t exaggerating when I said that we couldn’t find any. It was five o’clock in the morning on a Sunday and there was literally nothing open. (Er. So to speak.) Which is why, again, I spent four hours in a hospital yesterday being very painfully tested, and am certainly going in again in three months, and again in six. Despite what one of my actions may have led you to believe, I am not a completely oblivious idiot.
